I received a free copy of this book to review and I'm so glad I did! I can already tell it is going to be a lifesaver this summer when my sons are bored on break! I think she has a really good mix of activities-some that take a long time and some prep work, and some you could do on a whim with things you have on hand. All of them seem like things my 6 year old could do, and some would be very fun for my 3 year old (which is below the target age for this book)I think our favorites to do together are going to be some of the gross science like the mock stomach in a balloon or making your own culture medium (which I had no idea you could even do!).
And I love how she broke it down by subject. I am guilty of focusing more on subjects than others and I think that really will help keep our activities more rounded I think just being conscious of it more.
Overall I'm very happy with this book and can't wait to start doing the activities with my kids!

Lauren Wayne has split up the activities into categories to help parents start to think about how the things you are already doing with your young children fit into an educational plan. There are also helpful tip boxes scattered throughout to help parents connect with other families or even just take a breath.
Best suited for parents of young children who are considering, or at least open to, homeschooling.
